CIVIL TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:

Reporting to Civil Engineer, duties and responsibilities of the job holder includes
providing all the civil engineering works in the power station.
 

Minimum Requirements

Educational Requirements:

•“O” Level.

•Diploma in Civil Engineering from National Universities/University Colleges or
KNEC.

Related Job Experience/Qualifications:

At least 3 year experience in similar function

Additional skills:

•Ms Office proficiency

•Good Leadership, supervisory, interpersonal and analytical skills.

 

Job Specification

Key Duties:

Duty/responsibility

•Ensuring that plants and equipments necessary for the works
are available and in good working conditions.

•Ensure that water supply system to the power station is
maintained.

•Ensure that the road network is in good state by doing
inspection % repair works

•Repair of doors, windows, painting works to the power station
building, staff houses, club e.t.c

•Undertake and supervise all civil works in the station including
contractors .

•Allocation of duties & supervision of staff

•Preparation of budget & monitoring expenditure

•Preparation of monthly reports

Occasional duties:

The job holder may be called upon to: Acting in other senior positions.

Responsibility:

Has responsibility over buildings, roads, & equipment of repair & maintenance

Judgement and Decision-Making:

Makes decisions on matter pertaining to civil works
