Task description
AAIK seeks to commission a review of its current country strategy; Towards a Just Kenya (2006 -2010). The review is a process for critical reflection, accountability and lesson learning whose outcome will serve as a basis for the development of a new country strategy.
This exercise will entail detailed reviews and analyses of AAIK key literature, consultations with various stakeholders as well as in depth discussions with community members and representatives of community institutions. Extensive analyses of emerging issues will also be conducted followed by preparation of a final review report.
Expected outputs
A narrative report (no more than 35 pages) detailing
- The main objectives of the review, process and methodology
- Contextual analysis on key social, economic, political issues and trends that have affected delivery of the strategy
- Key findings for each major area (e.g. programmes including policy advocacy and campaign, finance, funding processes, partnerships, organization development processes and changes) reviewed.
- An independent assessment of performance and results against the strategy
- Lessons and key recommendations
- Overall conclusions and suggestions that would be taken into consideration in developing the next Country Strategy Paper.
- Presentations on the main findings and recommendations to AAIK Board and Senior Management Team.
A detailed tender document can be collected from AAIK offices located at All Africa Conference of Churches Building 2nd floor, Waiyaki Way, Westlands. Duly filled in tender documents should be returned on or before 14th May 2010, 10 am.
